Corelli’s Cafe, Devonport
Corellis in Devonport is a puppy lover heaven, you’ll have a hard time sitting outside without hearing the scuffle of a dog or a waitress cooing over a puppy.
Devonport is a relaxed suburb on Auckland’s North Shore that peaks out into the Auckland Harbour and is surrounded by dormant volcanoes and old WWII gun placements. Enjoy a walk up either Mount Victoria or North Head hills, take in the amazing scenery and 360-degree views of Auckland and finish your morning with breakfast at Corellis Café.
We have been bringing our beloved dog here since he was a puppy 4 years ago, which ever since his first visit he has been given the warmest welcome by the staff at Corellis café.

Daily Bread café in Belmont has been our most recent find in Dog friendly cafes in Auckland, we found it on a cold, wet and blustery morning when the last place we wanted to be was outside in the weather.
Daily Bread cafe has a large open dining area with polished concrete floors and high and low seating. With an assortment of sweet and savoury cabinet food there is surely enough there to please even the pickiest of eaters.
This dog friendly café may not have a large sprawling lawn, but it’s welcoming to our 4-legged friends and that’s all that matters.

Decked out with multiple outdoor tables and enough space to kick a ball around, you’ll be wondering why you hadn’t found the Northcote Tavern any sooner.
If the weather isn’t too flash, there are some covered outdoor areas on either side of this dog friendly pub, either pick a veranda to sit under or one of the pubs sturdy umbrellas in the fenced area.
Northcote Tavern sits between Queen Street and Princes Street in Northcote Point, which are both relatively quiet streets which link up to a quick and easy walking path that loops under the harbour bridge. So, if you’re finding your dog needs some added stimulation before you settle down with a pint and a burger, then you can take the 10–15-minute detour around to Stokes Point Reserve and give your dog some much needed tree sniffing time.
The food at Northcote Tavern ranges from your typical fish and chips and burgers, to their curry of the day and amazing dessert options. The beauty of Northcote tavern is that there is two bars inside one pub; the Callans sports bar is fitted with TV screens for sports games, betting facilities and plenty of poker machines, where as the Highland bar is the preferred family friend option for those coming for a meal and really couldn’t give a toss about any sports matches that might be playing.
